It's never a good day to find out your hot water heater is leaking. I'm grateful for two things - one, I discovered it within hours of it starting and less than a gallon had leaked out. Second - I discovered Bay Area Water Heaters. Ok, and third - Tony made my problem go away for an affordable price. My old Kenmore was installed probably in 2002? It definitely took good care of us for far longer than it should, and I'm grateful. But there's no repairing it. I used the chat option on their main website, and Chris was terrific in understanding what I needed, and getting someone out to replace it with a high quality water heater that same day. I did my best to clear a path and ensure Tony could do whatever he needed to, and then we left him alone. He was a delightful person who was very professional. He also made sure I knew how to contact them if there were ANY problems (his emphasis), and put a pan under the water heater so if it ever leaked in the future, it wouldn't get all over. So, for those who have read this far - how did I know? There was an odd noise coming out of the vent in the front of the water heater. I heard it on my way out to a dentist appointment. When I got home, I did the deep dive and saw the water on the floor of the garage. Thankfully, nothing got ruined. So thank you Tony and Chris. It was a relief to have it taken care of so quickly and professionally. And hubby came out to inspect and approved fully (and he's a tough sell).
