Go Green with Tankless Water Heaters
Heat Water Only When You Need It | Save Energy | Endless Hot Water
Tankless water heaters are typically sized according to the number of bathrooms in the house. A typical shower, dishwasher and washing machine use 1.8 gallon of hot water per minute. Size up the water heater according to the number of gallons per minute they can produce.
Modern tankless systems can supply multiple fixtures simultaneously (units can produce from 6.6 gallons per minute up to 11.1 gallons per minute).
It is more involved than a tank replacement.
The typical cost of a tankless water heater is more costly than tank replacement. A tankless water heater will last longer than 2 or 3 water heaters.
Energy savings and rebates offset the initial investment. (There are federal tax incentives at times however, you should consult your tax professional.)
Tankless water heaters heat water on demand; however, how long it takes for hot water to reach the faucets is a function of the plumbing in the house, not the water heater.
Tankless systems provide hot water approximately the same time it takes for your current system.
We had a 50 gallon hot water leak so it needed replacement. Chris responded within 10 minutes of the inquiry, and was extremely knowledgeable about what needed to be done. I let him know that I was thinking about a tankless and he asked all the right questions to make sure it would work for my house.
Our 17 year old water heater sprung a leak and it was obviously a goner. So I called Chris and he walked me through the various options. I readily agreed to have them come out and take a look in person. Dave came on site about 90 minutes later at the most. We settled on replacing the 75 gallon water heater with a tankless and he started work right away. By mid afternoon the following day, roughly 30 hours from my first call, the new gear was installed. Do not hesitate to reach out to them when you need to replace your hot water heater. They are nice people. They work fast. They use quality products. They explain things in a reasonable way. The end result was a very tidy installation that included new water lines, a gas line, an electrical outlet, the tankless unit and a control panel. I couldn't be happier. Great job!
Bay Area Water Heaters lives up to its 5-star reviews at every stage of the project. We reached out to Chris and he immediately contacted us on a Sunday. After a couple of texts, he called to gather some information and gave us pricing over the phone. This was awesome as it avoided long site visits for quoting the project. Chris communicated clearly and explained the various options (tank, tankless etc). Chris' quote was super reasonable for a 50 gal water heater tank and he was able to schedule us for installation within a day! On the day of the installation, Sione the installer showed up on time, and got to work immediately. The installer was very friendly and professional, and efficiently completed the job within a couple hours! He then explained how to operate the tank, and made sure we were happy with the installation before he left. This company was super easy to work with and they efficiently got the job completed within 48 hours of reaching out.
Prices were reasonable, inspired me to go to a tankless water heater. I did not select them in the end as I wanted to use a specific tankless heater in the end with some specific options. They were very fast and prompt to respond to my questions, and really appreciate their time. I tend to rotate through plumbers for various needs, and would definitely consider them in the future.
